RootSmith
We track the answers. We write the content that changes them.

When buyers ask AI, make sure it names you.

Buyers ask ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google which tool to pick. RootSmith tracks what they answer, then writes the source-checked pages that get you named and publishes them to your site. Approve each draft, or put it on a schedule.

What RootSmith does

Most tools stop at the dashboard. We keep going.

Know where you stand, then get the pages that move you up.

01 · Track

See what AI says about you.

Choose the questions your buyers ask. We put each one to ChatGPT, Gemini, Google, and more, then save every answer so you can see who got cited, who got named, and which competitor showed up instead.

  • A full check every week, lighter checks on the other days
  • Every cited source saved with the answer
  • Competitor gaps flagged for you
02 · Create

Get the content that changes the answer.

Every gap becomes an idea with the reason attached. You approve it, and RootSmith researches, writes, and fact-checks the page in your voice, then publishes it to your site. Put it on a schedule and new pages keep coming.

  • New pages, refreshes, and merges
  • Every claim checked against a source
  • Publishes to Next.js, any CMS, or MDX
  • Runs daily, weekly, or monthly if you want

How it works

One loop, from buyer question to published page.

Every step works by hand. When a step earns your trust, put it on a schedule.

  1. 1Set up

Add your site. We’ll learn the business.

RootSmith reads your site and drafts a Brand Profile: what you sell, who it’s for, and how you sound. It also suggests competitors and shows why. You correct anything we got wrong, and your edits stick.

  2. 2Track

Track the questions your buyers ask.

We suggest the questions that matter for your business, and you choose which to track. Every week we put each one to every engine and save the answers, so you can see who got cited, who got mentioned, and which competitor showed up instead. Lighter checks run on the other days.

  3. 3Create

Turn every gap into an idea.

Ideas come from gaps in your data, like a question where engines point to a competitor or a Google search with no good page behind it. Each one shows its reason. Approve it, change it, or pass, and tell us why so the next round gets sharper.

  4. 4Create

We write the page, then check every claim.

RootSmith researches the topic, outlines it, and writes for the page type in your voice. Then it lists every factual claim and checks each one against its sources. Add your team’s own experience and data, and the draft uses that too. A draft that fails its checks stays a draft.

  5. 5Create

Publish it, then see what changed.

Publish straight to a Next.js site, send the page to any CMS with a signed webhook, or download it as MDX. Once it’s live, we compare AI citations and Google clicks before and after, at 14, 30, 60, and 90 days.

Automations

Approve the idea. We handle the rest.

Set a schedule and RootSmith writes your approved ideas, or refreshes pages that are slipping, every day, week, or month. Turn on automatic approval and drafts that pass every check go live on their own.

Built on evidence

Why not just publish more AI content?

Because it doesn’t work. Google treats pages made at scale without real value as spam, and AI engines cite pages with real facts and clear sources. RootSmith writes fewer pages, and makes each one count.

Evidence before writing
No idea starts from a blank prompt. Each one starts from your tracking data, Search Console, or Brand Profile, and that evidence stays with it all the way to the published page.
Claims you can check
Every factual claim is matched to a source, a confirmed fact about your business, or your team’s stated view. If nothing supports it, it doesn’t pass.
Your expertise, not filler
Add what only your team knows: results, opinions, and lessons learned. That’s what makes a page worth citing.
Straight answers about results
We show what changed after a page went live, with dates and the data behind it. We won’t claim a page caused a change we can’t prove.

Less to manage. More to build.

The rest of the busywork, handled.

Google Search Console, built in
Connect it and we’ll flag pages that are slipping or sitting just off page one. Searches with no good page behind them become ideas.
Refresh and merge live pages
Update a page without changing its URL. Fold up to five overlapping pages into one and retire the rest with redirects.
Publish anywhere
Use our Next.js package, a signed webhook for any CMS, or a plain MDX download. Your pages, your stack.
Works from your AI agent
Connect Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor and run anything you can do in the dashboard, right from your agent.
A real editor, free to use
Write by hand with Markdown, versions, review, and scheduling. Hand-written pages never use a credit.
Made for teams
Unlimited seats, roles, review requests, and an email digest of what needs you.

Questions, answered.

Which AI engines do you check?
ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews on every plan. Growth and Scale add Perplexity and Claude. Where we can, we save the answer a signed-out person sees in each engine’s own app. Claude has no signed-out mode, so we ask it through its API with web search and label those results.
How often do you check?
Every tracked question gets a full check each week and a lighter check on the other days. Claude is checked weekly. A new question gets its first check soon after you add it.
Won’t Google penalize AI-written content?
Google’s rules target pages made at scale without adding value. RootSmith works the other way: fewer pages, each tied to a real gap, with sourced claims and your team’s input. A person approves each draft unless you choose automatic approval.
Do I need a Next.js site?
No. Our Next.js package is the quickest way to publish, but a signed webhook works with any CMS or backend, and you can download any page as MDX.
Can you guarantee we’ll get cited?
No one honestly can. AI answers change from day to day. We show you where you stand, help you publish better pages, and show you what changed afterward.
